Week of September 26


Updates from last week
  • Thanks for a great kick off meeting! At this time our team roster is at 39 students! We'll follow up with the six who missed kick-off meeting.
  • RoboFest at HarvestFest was a lot of fun. Nine team members had a great time playing LogoMotion with eight other teams in Milwaukee. Winnovation was represented by TWO robots - the IRI Robot and Pi our fun little kit-bot which was previously known as the Waterfront Bot. Thanks to Mr & Mrs Kahler, Mrs Asner, Jeremy Traum, Alec Hill and Kellen Hill for spending the day with the team.
New This Week

Monday September 26 - 7pm team meeting at the Shop.
  • Outstanding paperwork (e.g, student/parent contracts, t-shirt orders, membership info) should be turned in at the team meeting.
  • Decision on Regionals for 2012 season needs to be made. List (though it seems to be somewhat fluid) is available on Bill's Blog.
  • Nominations will be open for Team Captain/Mechanical, Co-Captain/Logistics, Secretary, Treasurer, Electronics/Programming, Scouting, Website, Animation, Marketing, Field Construction. Elections will be held Oct. 3.
  • Haunted Hallway Maze planning needs to start after our meeting.
  • Students interested in Marketing also need to meet to discuss projects.

Tuesday September 27 - Shirt order placed. Bring your orders and/or payment to the team meeting Monday night. Call Karen H. if you have questions.

Friday September 30
 - Homecoming Football Concessions

  • JV - Arrive between 4:15 and 4:30 if possible. John Cox, Brian & Mindy Brown, John & Mona Siebel, Todd Eilers, Mike and Linda Hedlund, Carrie Asner, Gary & Trish Lightfoot, Steve Freeman, Don & Polly Kahler in trailer concession.
  • V- arrive by 6:30. Michele Thorn, Tom & Lana Daly, Val Hong, Denise Eilers, Scott & Karen Hill, Jena(Janie)Martin, Kelli Mulkins, Tony Wright, Aniesa Burden, Tim & Sheree Doherty, Julie Holmquist (2 of us will work in the trailer, we can determine Friday night)
