Week of February 20

Great open house yesterday. More guests than ever and the robot is running. THANKS to all who made it such a GREAT day!! We had a few of our campers attend, a few interested 8th graders were in the mix! Along with a number of sponsors and other community supporters.

Congrats to the team for earning an In Youth We Trust Grant. Our request for $1650 was granted. We plan to buy electronics re-usable kits and consumables for our Lego, Slime, and Other Fun Camp this summer. 

Schedule for this week: 

  • Monday 
    • 3:30: Shop opens, practice driving, work on 2nd bot, marketing projects 
    •  7pm: Team meeting, turn in permission slips and $50 toward hotel if you are the 75% mark
  • Tuesday:
    • 3:30pm: Shop opens - ANIMATION meeting, and decide on work schedule from here
    • ROBOT must be bagged by midnight!!! 
  •  Wednesday: Go home, see your parents, complete scholarship applications, catch up on your studies!!! 
GO TEAM !!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT WE DO AT COMPETITION!!!

Remind your parents to check their emails for updates on travel and accommodations.  Make sure your permission slips are signed and turned in to Karen.  First set of spirit wear should be in at the beginning of next week.
