Week of October 21

What a weekend!  

  • Fun times were had at STEMfest Saturday with 5 other FIRST teams!  
    • We had lots of interested people stop and watch
    • AND I learned that our 4 years of students presenting at the SIT Conference has paid off! There is a Lego League in DeKalb and we will make a visit! 
    • 10 students participated in STEMfest, 4 of them rookies!! this is GREAT!  
  • Helped a long-time team sponsor by raking leaves at their church - thanks to Ian H., Alec H., and Ben L., for helping out on Saturday, along with Cathy L. and Polly K.  
  • Demo'd the robot at Exelon's open house on Sunday.  Ian H. and Noah S. led that outing.
This week will be busy!!  But, we have some 42 students on the team this year, everyone is expected to plug into at least one of these days/activities this week.

    • Shop open 3:30pm - 8pm
    • Team meeting 7pm
      • Mini-bot teams will be formed
    • Basket Raffle Committee meets at 7:30pm
    • ANIMATION will meet at 5 pm
  • Tuesday
    • ANIMATION will meet at 5 pm
  • Wednesday
    • Shop open 3:30pm - 8pm
  • Thusday
    • NO OPEN SHOP
  • Friday
    • Last day to join Winnovation for 2012-13 season
    • After school - load up cardboard and take to Town Hall to set up Haunted Maze
  • Saturday
    • Work the Village Scarecrow Fest and Haunted Maze, 8:30am-1pm then clean-up. 
    • Mini-bot game will be released Sat
Members still owing extra-curricular fee to school have until Nov 9 to make this payment. If you need a payment plan, please talk to Kim Bronkema in the school office.

Wow! and it isn't even build season yet!
